Alexus McLeod: Asian Philosophy

The department is very pleased to announce that Alexus McLeod has accepted an Assistant Professorship jointly in Philosophy and the Institute of Asian and Asian American Studies, starting in Fall 2016. His specializations in Chinese and Comparative Philosophy and his competence in Indian and Mayan philosophy will contribute to the department’s growing expertise in world philosophy led by Lewis Gordon. Alexus is a fitting successor to his teacher Joel Kupperman, the renowned scholar of classic Asian philosophy.
