Li Beilei

International Researcher/ Research Fellow


Dr. Li Beilei is an Associate Professor in Literature at Zhejiang Normal University in China. She is a specialist in African American philosophy, literature and culture. She has published multiple monographs, translations, and edited volumes, including Representation Strategies and Literary Writing: The Study of James W. Johnson (Zhejiang University Press, 2020), African Folktales (Zhejiang University Press, 2019), The Last Harmattan of Alusine Dunbar (Syl Cheney-Coker, Chinese translation, Zhejiang Gongshang University Press, 2025), What Fanon Said (Lewis R. Gordon, Chinese translation, Zhejiang University Press, 2025), and African American Fiction (Zhejiang University Press, 2025), and has published over 30 journal articles. She is currently translating a collection of essays by Lewis R. Gordon entitled On Philosophy, Decolonization, and Race (论哲学、去殖民化与种族, which will be published by Wuhan University Press in 2026.
