Maria Genova and Marcos Alcázar Estrella will be giving a talk at the ‘Speech and Society: Contemporary Philosophy of Language’ Conference organized by the Cardiff University Philosophy Department, between June 23rd and June 24th , 2026.
Maria’s talk is titled “This Weekend I’ll Be Making a Change”: Playful Speech and Resistance, and Marcos’s talk is titled “Is Accent Neutralization Oppressive? Cultural Imperialism and Linguistic Identity.”
